Let Me Entertain You: Star Wars, Gladiator, and Roll Tide Roll

The Distraction of Entertainment

Our society loves entertainment in a variety of ways. There's nothing wrong with entertainment in of itself as long as we don't make an idol of it. As I've written before, I can "roll tide roll" like many Alabama football fans, and I also enjoy Star Trek, Star Wars, and many Marvel movies as well. But as with anything else, all in moderation, amen? Or "oh me" ;-)?

But what if this entertainment fetish we have is preventing us from doing what's necessary to keep our constitutional republic and country as we've known it? Do we not know that the very entertainment we enjoy now may disappear or be too expensive if our county continues on its current path?

One scene in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, after Palpatine says that the republic is being reorganized as the first galactic empire, Padme says "so this is how liberty dies- with thunderous applause." Don't think that would happen with our country? Are common sense constitutionists a silent majority?

The current false POTUS was able to tell all of those lies during the last State of the Union Address in early 2024 because they knew the lamestream media would back them up. But another movie I have enjoyed is the 2000 movie Gladiator. In one of those scenes Senator Gracchus tells another Senator:

“I think he knows what Rome is. Rome is the mob. Conjure magic for them and they'll be distracted. Take away their freedom and still they'll roar. The beating heart of Rome is not the marble of the senate, it's the sand of the coliseum. He'll bring them death - and they will love him for it.” Do you not think that's what's happening in our country now?

I'll say it again and keep on saying it while the Lord gives me breath: you're losing your country and most of you are not paying attention. There are multiple agendas going on depending on whether it's the leftists or the real deep state. They're trying to destroy us or bring us down to a 3rd world country for their various reasons, and don't care what color your skin or political party affiliation is. If we don't or can't stop them, it'll likely be either mass job loss, hunger, and death, or loss of freedoms in a socialistic society. Register and vote. Communicate with elected officials at all levels about unconstitutional and unbiblical actions, bills we do or don't want, and do even more if necessary ;-). Get into a bible-believing church now if you're a Christian and aren't. Pray, subtly stock up on food and water etc., get you some guns and ammo if you don't have them already (and never give them up), and prepare to live without electricity.

While I’m on a rant ;-), why do people need to be entertained to get their news? Not just the lamestream media news, but also most of the reputable alternative news sources. Most if not all of them don't even go far enough like I and just a few others do on what can be done about the dangers facing us. I haven’t even seen a news outlet talk about the 10th Amendment principle of State Nullification. Have you? Why not?
